The Making of ‘…last one get the lights…’ (Part 1) by James Berry (‘Torn Apart TV), Jan ‘21.
Here is the official first installment of the making of The Nick Gladdish Band's 11 track studio album 'last one get the lights'. At the end of October/Nov 2020, the band cut the record live on the studio floor in twenty three hours, during lockdown 2.0. James Berry (Torn Apart TV) kindly gave up his time to talk to the band and film some of the recording sessions. Special thanks to James for putting this together and Traxx Studios, North Shields, for providing the rehearsal space for us to self-produce this album back in 2021. Enjoy, Nick & the band. Here is the official installment for the making of the 'Tea & Sympathy' album. It's a whistle stop tour of the process. Snippets, short clips from the studio floor. The album was initially cut at Sunderland University over a two day period in Aug 2023, where the band laid down the backing tracks to most of the album to click track. In 2024, the group dropped in and out of the sessions at John's home studio to carry out creative production / overdubs, etc. A very fun record to make. Enjoy! Nick.
